Building in Oconee County
Oconee County is the far northwest corner of South Carolina, bordered by Georgia and North Carolina, with three lakes: Hartwell, Keowee and Jocassee. Seneca is the largest city and the retail center; Walhalla is the county seat; Westminster sits on US-123 toward Georgia. Duke Energy’s Oconee Nuclear Station, BorgWarner, Schneider Electric, Itron and Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital are the big employers, and Clemson University is 10 minutes from Seneca. Oconee is one school district for the whole county. Lots here cost less than anywhere closer to Greenville and the setting is hard to beat: Sumter National Forest, waterfalls, the Chattooga River and lake access within a short drive. The trade-off is distance. Seneca to Greenville is about 50 minutes on US-123 and I-85; Anderson is 30 minutes. Most of our Oconee County homes are around Seneca, Walhalla, Westminster and Fair Play near the I-85 exits.
Every home we sell in Oconee County is a new Cavco manufactured home set on a permanent foundation, finished on site and titled with the land as real property. The price you see on a listing is the full price with the lot, foundation, utilities and yard. See how financing works or browse every home we have for sale.
